Ice cubes can glow your skin while reducing acne, pimple marks, and dark spots at the same time. In other words, you can take fast, efficient, and better benefits than a chemical product, just by rubbing ice cubes on your face.

Most important thing is, that you won’t have to spend any money on this amazing treatment.

In this post, I will discuss, how to use ice cubes for glowing skin. I write this from my own experience. I used this treatment during the COVID-19 period because at that time it was really hard to buy skincare products and we shifted towards DIY treatments. Here’s how it works.

Benefits Of Using Ice Cubes On The Face

So, why do we use ice cubes?  There are many benefits of using ice cubes on your face.

1. It can glow your skin

When you rub an ice cube on your skin, it narrows the blood vessels in your face, which means lows the blood flow to your skin. To avoid this your body pumps more blood into your face. This gives you glowing skin within a few days.

2. Reduce dark circles

Ice cubes can reduce the dark circles around your eyes and any other dark spots on your face. What you have to do is to make ice cubes using cucumber extract and apply them under your eyes daily. This will eventually reduce the dark circles around your ice.

3. Eliminate pimple marks

If you are suffering from pimple marks, then you need to try ice cubes. I have pimples once a month during my period and it is really difficult to remove the pimple marks from my face. I tried the ice cube treatment every day and I could not believe what I saw. All my pimple marks vanished.

You just need to rub ice cubes daily on your face. After a few weeks, you can also see the difference in what I saw.

4. Absorbs products well

Well, if you can rub ice cubes 10 minutes before applying your day cream or night cream, your skin can well absorb the cream more than usual. When you rub ice cubes on your face and apply your cream or moisturizer, it can reach the deep layer of the skin because you have already rubbed an ice cube.

5. Reduce acne

This is the most important result that I get from the ice cube treatment. As I mentioned earlier, I have pimples only once a month and it is disastrous. After I started to rub ice cubes on my face daily, after a few weeks I felt that the skin on my face is completely changed and my acnes are gone. Not only the acne, all other white heads, and bumps vanished. Trust me, I felt that my face is smooth like a rose petal.

When you rub ice cubes on your face, it reduces the oil production of your skin and it causes the reduction of the acne on your skin.

6. Shrink the pores

Our faces have pores to release the oil produced in our skin. These pores are slightly visible for those who have oily skin. When dirt and oil are in those pores it develops as acne.

If you rub ice cubes on your face, it can reduce the size of the pores and it will help you to reduce your acne also.

7. Gives you an oil-free makeup look

If you have oily skin, you may experience your makeup getting oily after a few hours. I also experienced this and tried many hacks to get rid of the oily makeup look.

Ice cube treatment is also one of the hacks that I followed to get a non-oily makeup look. What I did was rub an ice cube on my face before I start my makeup. After a few minutes of the ice cube treatment, I start my usual makeup routine by applying moisturizer, foundation, etc.

When you rub an ice cube before applying your makeup, it can reduce the oil production in your face. This will help you to get a non-oily makeup look.

8. Reduce sunburns

The most common thing that we faced during summer is sunburn. To avoid sunburns, you can apply ice cubes to the area which is really helpful to reduce redness and inflammation. After a few weeks of the treatment, you can see the sunburns fading away.

9. Reduce eye puffiness

The lack of sleep and spending too much time in front of screens can make your eyes puffy. In order to avoid puffy eyes, you can use ice. Ice cubes can reduce swelling. Rub an ice cube around your ice gently and you can see a visible change after a few weeks of application.

10. Reduce signs of aging

No one wants to feel old, right? But no one can reverse the aging process. When we get older, our face gets saggy and appears wrinkles.

Even though we cannot stop appearing signs of aging, we can control it.

You can rub ice cubes on your face if you have wrinkles. This will improve the blood circulation in your skin and helps to tighten your skin.
